Rebels for Peace exists to uncover the next generation of leaders and to bring relatable, sustainable, and transformational mental health programs to youth in underserved communities on Chicago's South Side — and beyond.
Rebels for Peace was founded by Dajohn White and Prince Jimmar after a single insight: the issues that seem unsolvable — cycles of violence, retaliation, poverty — actually open up when we begin with the mind instead of the symptoms.
Healthy minds create healthy societies. Our youth leaders are showing what that looks like in classrooms, schools, and neighborhoods across Chicago's South Side — and the model is built to scale beyond it.
LET YOUR ENVIRONMENT BECOME A PRODUCT OF YOU.
A six-week paid leadership internship for Chicago youth designed to grow resilience, mental wellbeing, and the skills to lead change — putting a jetpack on the next generation of leaders.
An interactive, evidence-based Social-Emotional Learning program taught BY youth leaders to 4th–8th graders in south side Chicago public schools — decreasing conflict and uncovering resilience.
